WHEN TIMES ARE ROUGH

When life seems rough and I can’t find my way
I just take a little time and begin to pray
A prayer to God that I know He hears
and I know that He will answer because He loves me so dear

Dear Heavenly Father I come to you this day
for my heart is weary and I can’t see my way
The road has gotten rough and the mountains hard to climb
trouble seems to be around me all the time

Man has forsaken me and I feel all alone
wishing I could come to my heavenly home
My friends talk about me now that I’m down
and my family even looks down on me with a frown

Lord please help me for I know that you care
please ease your child of this worldly despair
Give me the strength I need to make it through
and help me to keep my mind on serving you

Now as you have taught me to always pray
coming to you in this special way
Forgive me of my wrong as I do the same
I pray this prayer in Jesus’ name

Isaiah 40:4

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low
and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
