A MORNING PRAYER

As I awoke to a bright new day
I had to take time just to pray
To thank the Lord for his mighty grace
and for the patience to run this race

Thank You Lord for the love you gave
to keep me from the sinner’s grave
Thank you God for the Word so true
which teaches me how to serve you

Thank you for the life you gave my soul
the life that leads to the streets of gold
Thank You for the clothes you have given me to wear
and thank you for the voice to say this prayer

Thank You God for just being there
to handle my each and every care
Thank You Father for the will to do what is right
and Father please keep me in your Holy sight

Psalms 5:3

My voice shalt
thou hear
in the morning, O Lord;
in the morning will I direct
my prayer unto thee, and
will look up.
