I’M A SINNER

I’m a sinner, but this I know
Hell is the place they say that sinners will go
If I were a Christian then things would change
In God’s book of life I could find my name

I’m a sinner but I’m not alone
I have many a friends afar and at home
If I were a Christian I would select my friends
I would only be seen with other Christian women and men

I’m a sinner, tell me who loves me
Surely not the sinners I Can plainly see
For they slap me in the face with a Bible in their hand
And tell me to repent and become a Christian man

I’m a sinner with the love that God gave me
But Christians only love themselves anyone can see
My family is hungry, and we need a permanent home
But the Christians only provide for their own

I’m a sinner and my soul is about to die
But their only concern is the church they want to buy
This is not the way that God intended it to be
For he sent his Son for sinners like me

I’m a sinner, God please forgive me
And forgive every Christian that can not see
For all have sinned and done some wrong
Lord please grant this sinner a place around your throne

1 John 1:8

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us.
